At Tots in Play, we are all about educational development, interactive play, and most of all having fun!
Tots in Play was founded by a dad dedicated to getting the most from his children’s play time. We are a family business, whose focus is concentrated on providing our customers with the highest quality natural toys. We’ve seen the impact that educational and interactive toys have had on our own children and have made it our goal to make these great toys available to as many families that we can connect with. In addition to education and developmental aspects we also focus on the play value, safety, workmanship, materials used and timelessness of each of our items. We only provide toys that we would want our children to interact, learn, and play with!
Our Toys
Most of our manufacturers are family-owned as well, and all of them share our values. They use the best materials and paints and finishes. They oversee every step of production, and their toys are for the most part made in small batches. A great many of our toys are handmade, whether cut, turned on a lathe or carefully sewn and detailed by hand. Our manufacturers’ work environments are of the highest quality, safe and environmentally conscious.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
We love open-ended toys that spark the imagination and lead children to find their own individual ways to play and tell a story. We have chosen toys that can be interpreted by the child in many ways, and like toys that work in conjunction with other toys and thereby extend the play value even further.
Simple toys–without noise or flashing lights and batteries–can inspire. We love wood for that reason: the simple, natural beauty of wood fosters a quieter, slower type of play, which we advocate in this busy, fast-paced modern world. We feel that this type of play allows the child the peace to develop imagination, creativity and originality.
Most of all we know that our toys need to be fun, and that remains our final criteria. Regardless of age, we strive to offer the best, natural toys available today and we hope that they will bring joy and many hours of happiness to the children in your life.
Giving Back
We are committed to giving back and investing in the future, our children. A percentage of the profit from each of our toy sales is donated to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital. St Jude’s mission is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. No child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay at St. Jude’s.
